My Pen Pal
I have a pen pal named Lisa who lives in England. We have been writing letters to each other for over a year now, and I must say that having a pen pal has been an enriching experience for me.
Lisa and I first started writing to each other when our English teacher assigned us a pen pal project. At first, I was a bit hesitant about the idea of writing to a stranger, but as soon as I received Lisa's first letter, I knew that we were going to get along just fine. In her letter, she told me all about her life in England, her hobbies, and even sent me a photo of her and her dog. I replied to her letter, telling her about my life in China, my interests, and even sent her a photo of me and my family.
Since then, we have exchanged numerous letters, sharing our thoughts, experiences, and cultural differences. Lisa has taught me a lot about life in England, and I have shared with her what it's like to live in China. We have also exchanged small gifts and souvenirs from our respective countries, which has made our friendship even more special.
Even though we have never met in person, I feel like Lisa is a close friend of mine.
